EAP Malaysia is the leader of the stipulation of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was founded by Wisconsin early autism project malaysia Autism Job (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, a preliminary training including 20 hours of courses and 3 weeks on hand-held training is required before starting work with a child with autism after which routine fortnightly if not weekly supervision is provided with normal overlaps and group meetings.
Furthermore, WEAP's published study in the American Journal of Dementia (November 2005 problem) was consistent with Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research study in 1987 and 1993 where 48% of the children that joined the extensive behavioural treatment had the ability to capture up and get involved effectively in normal institution.
Each youngster at EAP is appointed a group of specialists who are monitored by a Supervisor on a fortnightly basis and a Senior Manager on a bimonthly basis in addition to the WEAP Progress Reviews two times a year. EAP continues to keep world-class quality ABA treatment as we continue to have our moms and dad company WEAP manage our kids two times a year.
