EAP Malaysia is the pioneer of the arrangement of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was started by Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) in September 2006. Furthermore, WEAP's published research study in the American Journal of Mental Retardation (November 2005 issue) followed Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research study in 1987 and 1993 wherein 48% of the kids that joined the extensive behavioural treatment were able to capture up and take part successfully in normal school.
